The melody of a city is composed of individual voices. I look for the dialogical in all of my projects, here it is particularly important. The interplay of what arises when you let the individual buildings act on you in a sketch-like manner—the moment is fleeting, the opportunity unique. And yet it is also here light, constructions, modernity, which I follow with the camera. I go deep and deeper looking for the abstraction, the transcendent fullness inside and outside. In the interplay between the structure of a building and the place, the people around it. It is real and it is not … reality seen through the eye of my camera.
