Three Memorials NYC

In November 2024, I was invited to photograph two monuments in New York City for a publication 'The Triangle Fire Memorial' and the 'Four Freedoms Memorial'.
While in the city, I also added the 'September 11 Memorial'.

It was a very special experience for me to visit places of hurt and injustice in this city, which is so synonymous with coolness, speed and success in many respects. The FDR Park in particular tells of how difficult it is to heal these wounds and what kind of people – in this case Franklin D.Roosevelt - are needed to do so.
Besides the magnificent architecture, which invited me in as a photographer, the three memorials in NYC also made me reflect on my own vulnerability.
