Architectural portraits

With my camera, a Leica M10, I strive to grasp the soul of architecture. Hiding mysteries, which need someone to uncover them. I do not capture my subjects holistically or perfectly. Architectural Portraits are intimate gazes, capturing the relationship of the detail of a building with its surrounding. The interaction between construction details, lighting situation and weather conditions. If a bird comes by, it is welcome. People working, living or just passing by might be part of the scenery or not—it depends! Sometimes I am focused on the oeuvre of one architect, such as in The MIES Project or Exploring ZAHA Hadid. And sometimes I am focused on one building. These images are part of the project.
